23-weeks of skills training and GED test preparation for youth ages 18–24 throughout Philadelphia who have dropped out of high school.

DETAILS

  • Hands-on, basic training in information technology or building trades/property maintenance (such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical and weatherization)
  • Certifications: GED, PMR Certificate, Hilti Gun Certificate, and COMP TIA A+ voucher
  • GED preparation and testing fees paid
  • Supportive services
    • Weekly transportation allowance and incentives, Case Management, Mentoring
    • No cost to participants, offers various monetary incentives throughout program
  • Job placement supports
    • Job search assistance with help from a job coach, Career counseling, Career readiness training, Internships
  • Schedule: 23 weeks, Monday – Friday, 8:30 am – 2:55 pm
  • Program offered in English language only
  • Special Walk-in Times for more information – Trades Tuesday 10-11 am, Tech Thursday 10-11 am

CRITERIA

  • Philadelphia Resident
  • No high school diploma (must have drop letter)
  • 18-24 year olds
  • Meets income eligibility requirements
